There are so man lies about losing weight; this is why there has to be the truth about losing weight. People say you can eat all you want and still shed some of your extra body weight. Some say you only have to starve yourself and you will lose weight. There are a whole lot of junk messages out there about weight loss that I only hope you are not taking in hook, line and sinker. It is better for you not to have come across all those misconceptions than to now start telling you why they are lies.

In this article, my focus is the truth about losing weight and I believe that should be your focus too as my reader.

The truth about taking of those extra body weight is not an impossible concept brought from planet Pluto, it is something we all can reason out ourselves. Take a look at this; whenever you eat, the food is for energy and nourishment of your body and it is rated in calories. If you consume 200 calories, you are trying to say to your body, there is gonna be a hard work that will require 200 calories so take this in and make sure you make energy available when it is needed. However, if you take in the 200 calories and do not use it all up, it is just like fuel in a car, the rest gets stored up until the day you use it. If you don't use it, it remains there.

In the light of this, you must understand that food is not supposed to be eaten for fun; it is not a routine. It is something you eat when there is need for it. Now that does not imply that you should not eat until you are hungry, it means that you should only eat as little as you know you can burn up. The moment you eat more than you can burn, you are going to get fat.

However, if you eat a lot, the only other way of burning it up is by exercising. You must exercise daily to burn the excess fat up. The truth about losing weight is just that simple:

"Eat only what you can use up" or exercise regularly to burn up the extras that will be retained by your body. Another way to lose weight is to ensure you drink as much water as possible.

Water on it own will not help you lose those extra body weight but it will help you maintain a high metabolic rate which in itself will help you to lose weight.
